Tax and Tag Clerk

Full Time

The McDuffie County Board of Commissioners is accepting application for a Tax and Tag Clerk in Tax Commissioner’s Office.

This position greets and services the public on tax matters and is responsible for processing tag and title applications for the public, collecting fees for vehicle registrations, maintaining and indexing files, performs duties in tax and mobile home sections of the Tax Commissioner’s Office.

Minimum Job Requirements:  High school graduate or equivalent; typing skills and computer skills; some general clerical experience involved in all phases of office administration with exposure to the public; must attend 40 hours of school conducted by Motor Vehicle Division and Department of Revenue to implement new rules and regulations regarding motor vehicle and property tax laws.
