Information Technology

The McDuffie County IT Department manages and supports the technology infrastructure needed for our government operations. This includes:

·        Network and Systems Maintenance: Ensuring that servers, networks, and other IT systems are functional and secure.

·        Software and Hardware Support: Installing, updating, and troubleshooting software and hardware used by county staff.

·        Data Management: Handling data storage, backup, and security to protect sensitive information.

·        Technical Support: Providing help desk services for county employees to resolve IT issues.

·        Cybersecurity: Implementing measures to protect against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with security policies.

·        System Upgrades: Managing upgrades and improvements to technology infrastructure to meet evolving needs.

·        Coordination with Other Departments: Working with various departments to support their technology needs and ensure smooth operation of county services.

 

The department also provides IT Services for:

·        The City of Thomson Government

·        Sheriff's Department

·        Fire & EMS

·        Thomson City Police

·        911 Dispatch Center
