Recreational Facilities & Rental
Athletic fields, buildings, or facilities are available by reservation only. If you would like to reserve a field, building, or facility please give us a call. In regards to rental fees or charges, please refer to the TMRD Fee chart link that is listed under supporting documents.. Availability is limited and varies with season. Smoking and Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all County owned buildings and properties.

McDuffie County/City of Thomson
- Sweetwater Park: 85 acres, 9 lighted baseball/softball fields with scoreboards, 2 lighted football fields with scoreboards, 3 Indoor Basketball Courts, 1 Meeting Room, ½ mile walking track, playground area , 2 concession/scoring towers, and multiple restroom facilities.
- White Oak Park: 1 Walking Track, a Playground Area, Picnic Tables, an open area space for small gatherings, and limited parking spaces.
- Pitt Street Park: 2 multi-purpose fields, 2 outdoor basketball courts, skate park, and limited parking spaces.
- Vonteego Cummings Community Park: 2 outdoor basketball courts, 1 tot lot, and 1 picnic pavilion.
- Thomson Tennis Courts: 2 lighted outdoor tennis courts and 2 outdoor pickleball courts.
Town of Dearing
- William Eubanks Park (behind the post office): 1 lighted baseball/softball field, 2 outdoor tennis courts, and 1 outdoor basketball court.
- Dearing Gymnasium - 1 full court basketball playing area with restrooms.
