Hotel/Motel Tax Portal

Welcome to the Thomson-McDuffie County Hotel/Motel Tax Portal, where you can upload monthly reports and pay fees online.

Hotel/Motel reports must be submitted each month. The deadline for on-line, in-office and postmarked submissions is the 20th of the month following the month reported for. Forms should be submitted even if you have had no rentals for the month. If there have been no rentals, please complete the form with $0.00 in the appropriate locations.

For reports submitted timely, you may deduct a three percent (3%) “collector’s compensation”. However, late forms and payments will be subject to a five percent (5%) or $5.00 penalty, whichever is greater, of the amount due per month; not to exceed twenty-five percent (25%) or $25.00, whichever is greater. The interest rate is one percent (1%) per month or fraction thereof.

Please note: You MUST provide a copy of the same month’s Georgia Sales and Use Tax report. Without it, your report is NOT complete, and will be returned to you.
